SAUU SKIPPERS COURSE
Somerset West offers all new boat owners the opportunity to obtain their Skippers' tickets through the in-house theoretical and practical training offered by Honda Marine Somerset West.
Please take note of the following skipper’s course categories mentioned below:
Day Skipper (Restricted) local waters only.
Day Skipper Category “R" less than 9 meters operating in inland or restricted waters only
Day Skipper Category “E” less than 9 meters operating no more than 1 Nautical Mile from shore
Day Skipper Category “C” less than 9 meters operating more than 5, but not more than 15 Nautical Miles from shore
Day Skipper Category “B” less than 9 meters operating more than 15, but not more than 40 Nautical Miles from shore
Coastal Skipper less than 9 meters
All skipper’s courses have both a theory and a practical exam.
